The title of this latest entry was the theme of the Hazelwood Elementary Talent show held June 5, 2008. There were roughly 25 acts that included singing, dancing, stand-up comedy, piano playing etc...I have to say I was impressed with many of the acts but mostly I was struck by these children who could get up in front of an audience of maybe 200+ people and perform. At that age, I am certain I wouldn't have been doing so. Colette sang a solo from High School Musical and did a fine job. Jim and I were very nervous watching our youngest up there and feeling everything she was feeling but not having any control over it all, it was all up to her. Our clammy hands and tight feelings in the chest lasted as long as her song and then only when she was done could we relax and enjoy the rest of the show. Whew!! It was a great night for all of us and helping celebrate were Ian, Aunt Theresa and Aunt Sis. Ian laughed at all the jokes and so supported fellow funny men. A good time was had by all and looking forward to next year!
