Dad's 87th Birthday Party!!

And the Oscar goes to...

My favorite night to watch TV all year is the night of the Academy Awards. For the past couple of years I have gone to Oscar parties where one dresses up in their finest, dons the best jewels and, in short, gets all gussied up. Unfortunately, this year I was sick as a dog so I had to watch from my own living room in my bathrobe. Colette, however, got into the spirit of things and got all dressed up in her pink spaghetti strap dress that she wore to her cousins wedding a year or so ago. She found some earrings Grandma Campbell had given her and she was all set to watch. I was thrilled to see my favorite actor, Daniel Day-Lewis, win the Best Actor Oscar. I have never been disappointed in any of his performances, though some are a bit dark and this year is no exception. I am waiting to get up my nerve to see his latest film. He is brilliant.
