Ever since we saw Uncle Jim Zimmerman's snow cave on his blog, we have been inspired to build one at our house in Newcastle. Here are some pictures of the Campbell Snow Cave on Christmas Day 2008. Here are Ian and Colette inside the cave. We couldn't hear them talking inside the cave and they couldn't hear us talking outside the cave. Very soundproof.
Sara absolutely would not go inside the cave. Neither would Mom...Brrr!!!
Colette looking cute in the cave. James and Ian worked for hours and hours building it and then hollowing it out. Ian loved working on it and couldn't wait to get outside to help out.

Every year Ian puts a little red ornament on this tree. It is under there somewhere!
Sara gets cold on our floor so we put down a little bed for her near the tree with her jingle bells around her neck. She loves her bells and feels very fancy in them. You can hear her coming a mile away too, she's very festive.
