The Fur is Flyin'

Ok, well it's not exactly flying, but it is flyin' off the dog. This is the third night in a row we have given Sara a thorough brushing. The first night I brushed her on the front lawn and left the fur scattered about. My neighbor told me he thought I had shot a raccoon!! We wanted to show just how much fur had been brushed out and remember this is the 3rd night of brushing. Not to mention all the fur I have vacuumed up lately around the house!! After Jim was done brushing her she crawled under my chair here at the computer where she is recuperating from her visit to the "salon. " She knows the Mom of the house will protect her.

Colette Turns 11...

Colette turned 11 on September 17th and here are some pix of her and her girlfriends at her party. Although the deck is still under construction the girls were able to hang out on it and play, open gifts and even karaoke!! It was a gorgeous end-of-summer day last Sunday when we had the party and a good time was had by all. Where have 11 years gone?

School Daze....

Ian and Colette started school on Sept. 2nd. They are in the 8th and 5th grades respectively, the last year for both of them in their schools. There wasn't as much moaning and groaning this year as the first day approached and I am grateful for it. I started a new job at the high school and so far so good. What a different world than elementary!! We had a wonderful summer together and now it's time to move on and think about studying and band for both, in addition to that Colette is on safety patrol and a select soccer team. Busy year for the kids and for the chauffering parents.
