Carlson's Finest Fish Oil

My doctor has recommended this fine product to me in the hopes it will lower my triglycerides. I had been taking fish oil tablets in the gel form but they were not sitting well with my digestive system. This fish oil is in the liquid form and has an orange flavor to it. The other flavor alternative is lemon. The flavor is fine for me, the consistency is a bit odd, but I am used to it now. I thought I would share this in case others out there had similar issues, then they might consider this product.

The lemon flavored fish oil, in Carlson's brand, is refined a bit more, so it's more expensive, but it doesn't have as much fish flavor in it.

Another brand, I think it was named "Pure" is sold by my naturapathic doctor. It doesn't have any flavor added. It has been refined so much that it just barely has a fish odor. It is very expensive, but it is so concentrated that you only need to take half as much.

One time, when I had just tried the orange flavored Carlson's for the first time, I complained about how strong the fish flavor was. Monya mistook me to mean the orange flavor was too strong. So she bought me a bottle of non-flavored Carlson's fish oil. I could just barely choke that down, and even Pompi the cat didn't like it.

I have since learned about these better quality types, and will never go back to the cheap stuff.

The orange-flavored Carlson's doesn't have much fish flavor to me. It was much better than the fish tablets I was taking. I also have it in the refrigerator and so the flavor is even more subtle and the texture somehow more palatable . A bottle is the same price as my monthly cholesterol tablets. I am hoping the bottle of fish oil lasts longer than a month and then can replace my meds altogether.
