Ian has applied for and been accepted to the Humane Society Teen Club. He had to write a short essay on why he wanted to be in the club, explain how he is going to help the animals and why he is a good candidate for the club.
We were excited when he received his letter of congratulations a few days ago. So, one Saturday a month for a few hours, he will be reporting to the Humane Society in Bellevue for the Teen Club where they will learn how to care for animals and hopefully make some friends too!
Another perk of being in the club is that after his coursework is finished in June, he will be eligible to volunteer at the Humane Society. I am hoping it also will count as community service hours to graduate. Congratulations Ian!

Congratulations Ian!! (Watch out for the alligators!)
Good job Ian. I'm sure you won't regret this affiliation.
Uncle Lief? He's not Ian's uncle, they are cousins!!
Good job Ian, with winter coming I can't imagine a better time to be surrounded by all that fur!
Aunt Theresa
We are certainly defined by fur in this house to be sure!!
